DITS S.r.l is a Spin-off Sapienza Università di Roma, born from the twenty-year experience of a large research group in Railway Engineering formed within the DICEA (Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering) also thanks to the doctoral school in Infrastructures and Transportation. The company mission is to create a bridge between the research developed in the university environment and its application in the railway world, in order to improve its quality in terms of safety, reliability, environmental sustainability and economic efficiency.
In addition to our 15 Sapienza researchers (2 Professors and 13 PhDs), our Partners include Sapienza University itself, as well as two world leaders of the rail sector: Hitachi Rail and Hitachi Rail STS.
DITS supports the railway sector in the following areas: railway mechanics and systems engineering, safety of rail operations, transport engineering, training days.
DITS srl will lead the design and classification of navigation safety occurrences, focusing on methods, processes, safety goals, hazard evaluation, safety culture, and risk management. They will contribute to defining the state-of-the-art, best practices, use cases, simulation scenarios with a safety and environmental focus, and disseminating results within the scientific and academic community.
