The École Nationale Supérieure Maritime (ENSM) is the historic French training school for Merchant Navy officers. For several years now, it has been providing marine engineering education. The quality of its teaching covers all aspects of navigation, operation, and maritime safety. It is delivered on its 4 campuses in Le Havre, Marseille, Nantes and Saint-Malo.
The courses are enriched by professional experience, through on-board trainings, internships, and numerous partnerships that ENSM is developing in France and abroad, all of which are key to the hands-on learning and continuing education of its students.
ENSM promotes crew spirit and the dissemination of its activities in all its locations, through communication actions linked to culture, sport, art, and research, to “set school”.
ENSM will lead needs specification activities for on-board systems and crisis intervention processes, participate in designing validation scenarios, and utilize technical resources like the MARINS simulation platform and CESAME training center for safety and crisis management. ENSM will also contribute to research communication and disseminate project results through training courses.
