The OVERHEAT project was recently featured at the 4th International Symposium on Industrial Engineering and Automation (ISIEA 2025), held from June 18 to 20, 2025, in Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. Under the overarching theme “Manufacturing 2030: A Perspective to Future Challenges in Industrial Production”, the symposium provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas on emerging trends in industrial engineering and automation.
The OVERHEAT project was presented during the dedicated session on “Human-centric Manufacturing and Collaborative Automation”, focusing on the evolving relationship between humans and machines in modern manufacturing environments. The session drew interest from a diverse audience including academics, SMEs, and manufacturers, reflecting the cross-sectoral relevance of the topic.
The talk by Vittorio Sangermano (ISSNOVA) offered insights into how OVERHEAT addresses the impact of human/machine interaction, showcasing concrete results from recent trials carried out within the project. By emphasizing the importance of human-centric design and collaboration, the presentation highlighted how OVERHEAT contributes to more sustainable, efficient, and resilient production systems.
